Tournament Rules and Regulations

1. This is a THREE day tournament. Captain's Choice: Anglers may fish TWO of the three days. One day of fishing constitutes the Tournament.
2. Boats MUST leave and enter Cape May Inlet or Cape May Canal. Boats may fish either ocean or bay.
3. Boats may not leave the Cape May Inlet or Canal before 7:00 AM.
4. All boats must check-in at the fuel dock each morning to pick up weigh-in tickets in order to weigh-in at 4:00 pm. All boats must sign off by 4:00 pm each evening.
5. All fish must be available for weigh-in from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Thursday and Friday; from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday at the fuel dock. Fish may not be brought from another location by truck; only by boat. (No Exceptions!)
6. If a boat becomes disabled, the participants may transfer to another boat and fish under the original boat's name. The Captain of the disabled boat must inform either the Director or Weigh-In Master of the disability. Failure to do so will result in automatic disqualification
7. Any protest must be presented to the Tournament Director or Weigh-In Master on the day fished. Their decision will be absolutely final.
8. Prizes will be awarded immediately following the final weigh-in on Saturday, October 31, 2009.
9. 34" minimum to qualify for weigh-in for any prize (Door Prizes excluded).
10. Six (6) anglers per boat maximum, six (6) lines per boat maximum.
11. Fishing will be on the scheduled days. There are no rain or weather days. You may fish two of the three days. Remember that in the event of inclement weather Striped Bass reside in the back bays, Cape May Harbor, the Cape May Canal and the inland waters. There is no need to fish the Atlantic Ocean or Delaware Bay.
12. On each of the two tournament days selected, three (3) fish are to be chosen to be weighed-in by the boat Captain. All fish will be weighed-in to the nearest pound. The three weights will be recorded. At the end of the three day period the boat with the heaviest weight of fish will win first place position; second heaviest weight, second place; and third heaviest weight, third place. In the event of a tie for first place, both contestants will split the first place prize. In the the event of a tie for second place, the earliest entry wins.
13. If entered in the overall Calcutta, 65% prize will be awarded to the one largest fish, 25% to the one second largest fish, and 10% to the one third largest. In the event of a tie, the same rules as Rule #12 applies. Daily Calcuttas recive 100% of prize.
14. Tournament channel will be VHF Channel 73.
15. There will be absolutely no refunds. ** Unless NJ State or Federal Government closes striper season for 2009 in the State of New Jersey**.
16. Each boat owner, Captain, and crew assume full and complete responsibility for their decision to participate and in absolutely no way whatsoever agree to hold anyone responsible for any and all risks taken.
